POINT 1. Stability of main dimensions 1

In order to create beautiful pieces of cloth featuring a variety of knit patterns, it is essential that yarn slide is timed with all needles used. The timing of yarn slide is affected significantly especially by the stability of the A to D dimension of knitting machine needles.
As the result of our production expertise, Organ Needle meets this essential requirement.
A: Length from butt to needle point
B: Length from butt to latch point
C: Latch height from bottom (when latch is closed)
D: Latch height from bottom (when latch is open)

POINT 2.Stability of main dimensions 2

What's required to create beautiful knit patterns are:
Uniformly shaped needles free of irregular left/right bends

What's required to create beautiful knit patterns are:
Uniformly shaped needles free of irregular upward/downward bends
"B" dimension stability

POINT 3.Attributes of needles' metal surface

Low yarn slide resistance
Low yarn slide resistance creates beautiful knit patterns.

POINT 4.Durability

Abrasion resistance 1

Our knitting machine needles offer high abrasion resistance regardless of the quality and/or kind of yarns being used, including open-end yarn.

Results of yarn abrasion tests

Compared

with the raw materials normally used to manufacture knitting machine needles, the abrasion
susceptibility of our enhanced material is approximately half that of the normal materials;
as such, we can say that the abrasion resistanceof our material is twice that of other needles.

Abrasion resistance 2

Assessment of wear experienced by the abrasion-resistant knitting machine needle's hook and latch spoon sections as compared to those of an ordinary needle after both were used for 1,000 hours on actual knitting machines. The hook and latch spoon sections of the abrasion-resistant needle exhibit high levels of resistance to wear.

Hook strength improved

Due to the fact that a 1) a tapered shape has been adopted for the hook and 2) the hook section has been made lighter in weight and slightly bent, the stress the needle receives under severe knitting operational conditions has been alleviated. This contributes not only to making the hook section more resistant to deformation and breakage, but also to lengthening the durability (service life) of knitting machine needles.

Latch strength improved

Comparison of latch service life (based on data obtained by Organ Needle's durability tester).

Pursuing an optimal latch sheet shape contributes to extending latch service life.

Relationship between latch sheet angles and durability in hours of the latch.
[This table shows how latch sheet durability is affected by changes in the latch sheet angle; in increments of 10°, with a datum angle of 100°.]

Jointing of hook and latch
Well-jointed hooks/latches contribute to extending the durability of knitting machine needles and maintains their performance at a stable level.
